I have made the choc. stout cake from epicurious, it is great. The cake is very moist, you do not notice the beer taste.

I have an agbay. The best investment I have ever made. I had to save money from the sales of my cakes, but WOW it is worth it.

You might consider an apple pie/spice filling. Use less spice so it wont over power the cake.

You could make a pot of chi tea, strain and use the tea as the water for your butter cream.
