GL79, my mag has always been late in arriving. I still don’t have my July issue and don’t even bother wondering where it is anymore.
If you haven’t received your June issue theres a problem. You should PM Heath or Jackie directly rather than using the mag contact link, as you’ll probably get faster results.

I have loved CC from the first time I got on the site! The magazine is just the “icing on the cake” for me. I am eagerly awaiting each and every issue. I have yet to be dissappointed. Jackie and Heath, you should be very proud of what you have accomplished! I know that I am proud just for being a member of such a special group of people. Cake on!!

Yes, where is this issue, all others arrived at my door lightening fast (even for snail mail)….. is there is printing issue? Certainly hope not, I really like what you have published so far. Please keep them coming.

Is there no subscription contact phone number to resolve issues? Or only this comment page? Even an explanation would be helpful, like hey- “there was a delay in printing and distribution issues- and this should be resolved in X number of days…etc”

No magazine here either. Every other mag sub I have semds the issue the month before the date. I am now recieving other magazines in August with September dates on them. It is such a beautiful publication I am sorry they are having problems. I do wish there were more information to read about the cakes pictured. And I hope we all end up getting all our issues we paid for. Things aren’t looking good.

Didn’t get Julys’ magazine until the 29th (after complaining). Once again, had to complain about still not getting the August issue…so, what did they do about the complaint about the August issue? SENT ME ANOTHER JULY ISSUE! Tese people obviously have BIG problems getting their product out in a timely fashion. And then, advertise the upcoming issues WAY before the production is in place for paying subscribers. As HipnotiqGlamour says, “NOT COOL!”

well im exciting after complaining, today i got my august magazine is worth waiting for it. it has more “how to do” the cakes amaizing. when i complain the first time they told me that it takes like 14 days for shipping i hope that will be helpfull and hope you get yours soon cuz is really good

I just got mine on Saturday. And Whaaatt!!- I have a cake photo in there, in the butterfly category. ! I was sent a notice that I “might” be selected for a photo. But I didn’t know it was going to be! How awesome is that!

We had to wait for our August issue too and just got it last weekend. Upon opening it discovered that Let’s Do Cake! (letsdocake.com) had a photo in the summer cakes spread! Was so surprised and excited! Made our day! It’s the cake with the chicken bride and groom on top! We were not notified it would be in the magazine either, but that’s okay with us. Loved the surprise! Love the magazine.

Well, it is the 21st over here in Germany and still no August issue. I had figured it was because of my move, but I am starting to think maybe I won’t get it at all. It is good to read on here that regular people are getting contacted by CC to do a cake. I know that’ll like never be me. I haven’t even made a practice cake in months. But we recently got our household items back and I am digging out cake stuff. Maybe that’ll at least keep me happy. I was feeling pretty sure the mag would be here by now. But I am once again disappointed. I am hoping that maybe the September issue MIGHT make it to me. But who knows? For those of you getting it, be glad because I can’t even find it in a store here. Fingers still crossed!

tanyascakes, I’m 2 hours away from where the magazine is mailed out & I still haven’t received my August issue. So far not one issue of the magazine has shown up in my mail box until the last week of each month.
I hope you get your issue soon, as well as myself. This whole thing has become so frustrating…

The US shipping is “free” perhaps they should offer an accelerated service for those who would be willing to pay for it? I saw the shipping for the magazine is $30. in Canada I wonder if that is surface mail? I know my Sept issue was sent to Montreal on the 12 of August I am so anxious for it to arrive. They should change the date on the magazine call the August issue September that way it wouldn’t be so late lol.

Well, it is the 27th of August. I still don’t have the August issue. I am sure the Sept issue is likely getting mailed soon or already has started. I am getting a little sad that I have yet to receive my mag. Even my son’s gamer magazines have come and we sent the change of addy to them about 3 weeks after I sent it on to CC Not sure what to do now. I definitely want to keep my subscription, if it means I will actually get the mags. But I am starting to feel pretty upset about the whole thing. Maybe I should just give up on it??

I have not received any issues other since the wedding cake issue. Keep contacting customer service and not hearing anything back. At this point I’m figuring I lost $60.00 and will not be subscribing anymore

Love the cake on the cover. Does anyone know what is used for the “tube” (decorated with lattice and 2 butterflies)? Is it a cake, or some sort of support column covered in fondant? I have a customer that wants a similar cake, and any ideas that I have come up with are not structurally sound. HELP!

hey perfection…
that “tube” is a support column forsure…not cake. you could use anything from a styrofoam drum covered in fondant to a round glass vase in it’s place. there will be dowels underneath of it just like any other tiered cake and the tier above it sitting on its plate can sit directly on top of the cylinder.
