Hershey's Kiss Cake

This week we are Mixing-It-Up in the kitchen with a cake in the shape of a Hershey's Kiss. It's the perfect cake to make for a Valentine's day or a special birthday.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Cake- THREE 4-inch circles (cut from a sheet pan)
Buttercream or ganache

MATERIALS
4-inch round cakes (ring is 4.25)
4-inch cardboard or cake board
serrated knife
off-set spatula
veining tool/scalpel
gold or silver luster
brushes
lemon extract
tape measure
4 oz. chocolate fondant
8 oz. any color fondant for wrapper
0.5 oz white gum paste
1 oz. blue gum paste
Letter cutters
Or Blue Edible Marker

STEPS:

1) Cut out three 4-inch circles from sheet of cake
2) Place on a board and sandwich between buttercream
3) Chill cake
4) Carve in shape of hershey's kiss
5) Frost in icing
6) Cover tip of kiss with chocolate fondant- use a small round cutter
7) Wrap the cake in fondant , measure with tape measure approx. 13-inches wide x 4-inches tall
8) Paint INSIDE with silver
9) Paint outside with gold
10) Attach label and letters

I love this cake! And my 4-yr-old daughter does too, and thinks we should make it. :) That label could be alot of fun to personalize. Thanks for the great video tutorial!
