I found this wonderful recipe on the internet. It says that it’s pretty close to the Cheesecake Factory version. I made it for a co-worker’s birthday and have had many requests to make it again. Time consuming, but definitely worth it. A great Christmas cake recipe!

This is a WONDERFUL red velvet cake recipe that I tweaked. The original recipe called for twice as much red food coloring, which bothered me, so I halved the amount and found the results to be exactly the same. Enjoy!

It can be used when needing a glassy like appearance on fondant. (ie a windshield like on this car It dries to a shine. I have doulbed, tripled with no problem.
