This is an easy to make recipe, and it tastes great. a simple cake made from scratch, and flavored with honey and orange.
Honey Cake III
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
2 In a large bowl, combine sugar, honey, oil, eggs and orange zest. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the orange juice, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pan.
3 Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
