Friday Faves: Flowers, Holidays and a Storybook
Pink sugar roses and cute gumpaste kittens; vintage tea parties and warm scents from the kitchen; three-layer cakes covered in buttercream: these are a few of our favorite things!
As editors of Cake Central magazine, we come across so many awesome, inspiring things while working. From users to cake creations to wedding inspiration to cool new products, we want to share a few of our favorite finds with you every week.
Here are this week’s Friday faves:
I am loving the stained glass technique used by Annataart in the Art Nouveau style of artist Alphonse Mucha.
These button cookies by cakebychantelle are adorable, and I could easily imagine wrapping up some stacks of these cute cookies with red and gold ribbon for gifts this holiday season.
I am pretty sure that if I were to visit the North Pole, Mrs. Claus would serve me tea out of this teapot by skmaestas. With its pretty hand-painted tree and fun peppermint stick-esque detailing, this teapot cake is a fun and original way to celebrate the holidays.
How cute is this Where the Wild Things Are-inspired cake by mdgosnell? It perfectly captures the spirit of classic children’s story, has a great three-layer design and would be wonderful for any kid’s birthday party.
Misslouise’s floral cupcakes are in perfect soft colors that make me think vintage. I love how every flower looks slightly different, but they still go together incredibly well.
These ball-shaped cakes made by alice79 are so festive! They remind me of a stack of Christmas tree ornaments.
