Butter Cookies

Posted by PasticcinoMio I've been receiving questions about my cookie recipe. So I decided to share it in here. This is the recipe I always use to make cookies. The best thing about it is that they don't spread or get smaller after baking. So if you want to cover your cookies with fondant, you can use the same cookie cutter that you used to cut your cookies. As the cookies are almost the same size and shape after baking, the fondant will fit perfectly, no bigger, no smaller! You can check my cookies to see clearly what I... read more

Marshmallow meringue for piping - Turron de Marshmallow

Red Velvet Remix

Posted by fanofcake   This is a tweak on a recipe I found on here. The cake tasted amazing but it was heavy and did not make cupcakes well at all. So this is what I came up with. It is begins with a mix and is based loosely on the WASC method. I hope everyone has as much luck as I had. I also made a double batch when I came up with the recipe so if you need to make a smaller batch just halve the ingredients. A double batch will make 3-9in rounds and 2- 6in rounds. Also fill your pans between half and 3/4 full because the cake tends to not rise as much as other... read more

Mtn Dew Cake ( Mountain Dew) - revised

Posted by BlueBerryBaker I wanted to post my version of a Mountain Dew Cake. Thanks to Brandy1621 for posting her version of Mountain Dew Cupcakes. I did modify the ingredients a bit. I wasn't sure if it was alright to post my changes on her recipe comment section (seems rude to do that), so I'm posting it here separately. I just made this cake on May 8, 2012 and it was amazing! The flavor is spot on to Mountain Dew! (We kept tasting the batter – modifying, and drinking the soda pop till the flavors mirrored each other) My son's comment was "Now how did you DEW that" (ha... read more
