Inexpensive cutters for roses, peony and calla lily

Posted by sweettooth101 You can purchase a set of cookie cutters from any kitchen store, this set of 5 was around $6. hold the cutter at the joint and give a squeeze to make it into a tear drop shape. For roses soften the round edge and make your petals for the flower. For peonies, knick the round edge at a few places, then frill with toothpick and proceed making the flower. How to Make a Little Purse Cake

Posted by mrsmudrash This is a tutorial for a small purse cake made from three 6" round tiers. Each tier is about 3/4" thick making the final cake about 3" thick. You can make this from an 8" round also! I've also done a tutorial on the bow, so you can look that up by my user name or under the tutorial section. NB: Leave this to dry for at least 10 days so it really is properly dry and firm. To change up the look, replace Row 6 with varying sizes of pearl or metallic dragees. Water was used to glue the petals together but you may want to try substituting alcohol, piping gel, gum paste glue or a thin layer of RI. Just remember to only use a small amount.
