Put these adorable cupcake toppers on top of a Pumpkin Spice White Almond Sour Cream cupcake with Decorator’s Cream Cheese Frosting
How to make tiny pumpkin pie slices for use on sugar cookes, cupcake toppers, cake decoration etc. You can use gumpaste, fondant or marzipan.
Make 3 colors of colored fondant. You will need white for the “icing”, a light brown color for the “pie crust” and a darker brown color for the “pumpkin pie” filling
Follow the above photo steps to create the “pumpkin pie filling” fondant shape.
Follow the above photo steps to create the “pie crust” fondant shape
Follow the above photo steps to create the “whipped pie topping” fondant shape.

lisaccoles its called a fondant smoother. you can get them at a cake supply store, craft stores, and even walmart in their cake decorating section.

I just made these last night. I absolutely love the idea! I made mine out of candy clay. For the orange, I did add a bit of pumpkin pie spice to it, and it really makes it taste “authentic.” I also used a slightly different method. I made a fat disc of “pumpkin” and wrapped it with a rolled round of “crust” to make the entire “pie.” Then I just cut into eight slices. It was quick and easy. I saw that method in a polymer clay book I flipped through at the bookstore a few weeks ago.
