This is a recipe that I made up.It's delicious and I thought I would share.Ingredients
- 5 large eggs at room temperature 1 cup yoghurt ½ cup milk 3 cups purpose flour 2cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 2/5 teaspoons baking powder 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder 1/3 teaspoon vanilla powder 1 teaspoon cardamoms powder 2 or 3 drops of red wilton colors YOU will also need (23cm) non stick round cake pan
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs and sugar and vanilla, until the mixture is creamy and light in color. Add yoghurt and milk and little beat till mix together then add oil and continue beating until well blended. In a separate bowl, combine and mix flour, cardamoms powder and baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat until the batter is smooth. Divide the mixture into 3 equal portions. Keep one portion plain. Add cocoa powder into another And red color into another portion. Lightly grease the pan with oil. Scoop 2 heaped tablespoons of plain batter (you can also use a ladle that would hold 2 table spoons) into the middle of the baking pan. Then scoop 2 tablespoons of cocoa batter and pour it in the center on top of the plain batter. Then scoop 2 tablespoons of red color batter and pour it in the center on top of the cocoa batter. Do not stop and wait until the previous batter spreads. Keep going! Do not spread the batter or tilt pan to distribute the mixture. It will spread by itself and till the pan gradually. Continue until you finish them. Preheat the oven to (180c) Bake in the oven for about 1 hour. If you dont want decorate with cream or fondant. Before you keep in the oven you can use knife and design spider with coming and going knife. And then bake in the oven. Or if you dont want become 3 colors you can use 2 colors (plain and cocoa)then you have to divide the mixture into 2 equal portions, and scoop 3tablespoons of batter substitute 2 tablespoons of batter - Basic Cake made with Hotcake flour
