I needed to bake a Red Velvet cake for the first time and couldn`t find a recipe in wich I had already all the ingredients, so I came up with this doctored RED velvet recipe :) ENJOY!!Ingredients
- **WET INGREDIENTS: 1 cup water 1 cup cream 1/3 beet water (the residue when you boil the beets) 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vinegar Super Red coloring as desired **DRY INGREDIENTS: 1 box chocolate pudding (3 oz.) 1 box butter cake mix 1 cup flour 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
Preheat oven in 350ยบ or #5 setting for gas house ovens. In mixer bowl mix all WET ingredients and blend together in low speed. Increase to Medium speed and add pudding, add the sugar, add the cocoa powder, add the baking soda mixed in the flour, the cake mix and remaining ingredients. Scrap the sides between each 2 ingredients. When well blended scrap the sides and pour in a 8" inches pan well greased with shortening, cooking oil spray and flour. Put in middle rack and cook for about 1 hour * or when toothpick comes clean. *in 30 minutes lower the temperature to #3 setting in a gas house oven or half the temperature in elecrtic oven. Rest for 5 minutes outside oven and flip in a cooling rack, the pan should come out easily. Fill and Decorate as needed :) - Strawberry Cream Cake
