Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE CAKE FROM SCRATCH - EASY! 2 c. flour 1 c. cocoa 2 tsp. baking soda 2 c. hot water 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 big, rounded tbsp. shortening

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until cake tests done (toothpick inserted into center comes out clean). Result: Moist and dark layer or loaf.

hi there just a quick question. in this recipe is there really 2 cups of hot water.

I tried this recipe, but found it was very bitter and didn't like the texture Are you sure of the measurements?
