Instructions

1. Sift together three times 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, a pinch of salt, 3 teaspoons baking powder. Scald 1 cup milk; pour it over the dry ingredients and beat. Add the whites of 2 eggs beaten stiff. Flavor as desired and bake in moderate oven
