How To Make a "Tangled" Tower Cake (Rapunzel)

Got a chance to make the tower again, so I decided to make a step by step tutorial. Hope you enjoy it!

List of Materials

  • Fondant, colors, kitchen towel, knife, roller

Cut out a cardboard circle, put a doll inside to check the size

Cover it with fondant

Rol out fondant make the wall

Put a circle of water for the wall
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Stick the wall on our circle

Take the kitchen towel for the tower
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Cover it with fondant

Make small balls of grey fondant and put custer sugar on them so they would not stick together. Roll them roller to make a stone impression.

Stick them on the tower peace by peace

Use some of the grey also on our house if needed. I made the awl too short, so had to add some of the grey to make it taler.

Make the roof. It does not matter which color it is, it will be covered later

Cut small squares of two shades of violet. Finish the roof with a bit of brown to make nice edge. Leave it to dry completely Make wood impressions as you wish Make wood impressions as you wish

Put some fondant on the bottom of our house to stick it to the tower. make support so it would not fall down.

Check it to see if it looks ok

Make final decorations, plant and flowers

At the end, I forgot to take a picture of the finished one... So here is a picture of the tower I made few months ago :) Hope you will find it useful as I found so many useful things on this site!! Thanks for looking

Thanks to everyone for commenting or just looking. Rosie, it is true that it is quite heavy. I put support as for a second layer of cake and stuck three long wooden sticks to hold the position.
