Home-made Country Apple Dumplings

I found this recipe on a website and decided to share it.

:)
It’s not totally home-made but it tastes like it.

Ingredients:

Amount Ingredient 1 1/2 cup Sugar 2 T Cinnamon 2 large Green Apples 12 oz. Can of Mountain Dew 1 cup Butter 2 (10oz.) Cans of Crescent Rolls

Directions:

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2.Cut each apple into 8 wedges and set aside. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles.
Roll each apple wedge in crescent roll dough starting at the smallest end. Pinch to seal and
place in the baking dish.
3.Melt butter in a small saucepan and stir in the sugar and cinnamon. Pour over the apple dumplings.
Pour Mountain Dew over the dumplings.
4.Bake for 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.

That is too funny. I also saw this online and just made these for family visiting this last weekend. They were absolutely scrumptious and everyone got a kick out of me pouring Mountain Dew on them! :-) Thanks for sharing!

Crescent rolls are dinner rolls. they are formed into a triangle and rolled up and they are light and flaky. You can find them in a can at your grocery store. They are with the biscuits and the cinnamon rolls.
