Extender Cake Recipe #2
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix, brand of your choice
- Use the same water, oil, and eggs as called for on the box and also add:
1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 package chocolate instant pudding
Instructions
- Mix all of this together and bake in greased and floured pans. I always bake at 325 degrees for a little longer. This makes a nice high 9×13 cake…I always use the heating core to make sure it gets done in the middle too. It’s really level too.
It must be healthy, it has chocolate in it!!
Do this extender is good for any cake box flavor?
it works for any cake except alter the pudding flavor depending on the flavor of your cake ;-)
what size pudding box?
I just use a small box... I'm guessing the poster referred to a large box... but a small box works and I don't have half a package of pudding mix sitting in my pantry ;-)
