This is a Dream Whip recipe that was requested by a few people in the forums.

Dream Whip Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

  • This is my moms (seymoursquirrel on CC) Dream Whip icing recipe:

  • Ingregients:

  • 1 1/2 lb Crisco
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp. clear vanilla
  • 2lbs. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 pkg. Dream Whip
  • 1 cup Buttercream Base

  • Serves: makes enough for 3-4 cakes

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening, water, vanilla, egg
  2. add remaining dry ingredients.
  3. Beat 15-20 mins. The longer the better. Keeps for months in a sealed container in the refrig.
  4. **Omit egg if making 1/2 recipe.
