This is a nice and quick pound cake recipe that utilizes a boxed cake mix. I ahve tried it with several different brands and types of cakes. My Grandmother’s recipe called for a Golden cake mix, but I have used several including the super moist with pudding in the recipe.
Box Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- Combine first two ingredients and mix well. Add oil and sour cream and mix well (may appear clumpy and grainy). Add eggs and mix till smooth. Place in greased and floured pans and bake at 350 degrees for 38-40 minutes or until firm on top of cake. Cooking time may vary according to oven and alititude.
High in everything but tastes great!
