This rich, intensely chocolate rolled cookie is quick, easy and very tasty.
Bitter Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 4 – 1 oz squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
Instructions
- Cream butter in medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar and salt, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg, beat well.
- Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla. Add flour, stirring well.
- Chill dough for 1 hour.
- Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut with desired cutters and place 2 inches apart on llightly greased or non-stick cookie sheets. Bake at 425 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Cool slightly on sheets, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
