5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake for 2

This is a quick chocolate cake for 2 that tastes like those brownie cakes you order in restaurants that comes with hot fudge and ice cream! So, you might want to also have some ice cream and hot fudge handy!

INGREDIENTS

5 T. Flour
5 T. Sugar
2 T. Cocoa
1 egg
3 T. Milk
3 T. Oil
3 T. chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla extract
1 Large coffe mug (microwave safe)

DIRECTIONS

Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.  Do not grease mug.  Add the egg and mix thoroughly.  Pour in the milk, oil and mix well.  Add chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract and mix again.  Put mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes (for 1000 watt microwave).  The cake will rise up over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!  Allow to cool for a couple minutes and tip out onto a plate.  (It will slide right out).  Top with Powdered sugar, hot fudge and ice cream if desired.  YUM!!!!

Cooking time is only 3 minutes. I guess the 5 is the "total" time. It does have a strange texture, I think due to being microwaved instead of baked in the oven, but I love it with icecream! Such a quick little treat! Glad you liked it blacklovelyone!

The recipe I have for this uses only 4T of flour and sugar. I can't stand up to a Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake, but is great when we get that sweet tooth after the kids go to bed!

Usually a capital "T" stands for tablespoon & a lower case "t" is teaspoon. Just think of the capital letter as being "big" (so more is used) & the lower case letter as being "small" (so less is used) :)
