I'm going to be making a checkerboard cake for Halloween and have been looking for a 'different' yet delicious white cake for the job. Really excited to use this recipe!!

SHAME ON YOU!!! As far as the directions for preparing this cake is insufficient, it is a poorly constructed recipe. It doesnt tell you what size of pans to use or what temperature to set the oven on. I suggest that you should fold in the egg whites with the batter which would be the last step. Now that I have tasted it.... this recipe is a disaster!! If you decide to use this recipe do not use so many eggs! In fact do not use this recipe at all. I doubt it was made by somebody who knows how to bake.

@ laguerra Hmm....and it took you baking it to figure that out?? Sounds like some one else that doesnt know how to bake. . .How about this...if you have nothing CONSTRUCTIVE to say, say nothing!! ("constructive can be positive OR negative...it's "how" it's said) nstead of saying something like 'shame on you!!!!' For all you know, that person DOES know how to bake, but since this site is international, there MAY be a language barrier or a problem with her/his conversion of amounts. Dont automatically assume the worst. After all we are ALL human. Including YOU!
